2019-2020 Season Completed

After many attempts to play them face to face the 2019-2020 Season Challenge Cup and Plate Finals together with the Mimir Final were played online on Wednesday 26 May. 

Congratulations to Colly Wobblers who defeated Greyhound after 9 rounds to win the all Ormskirk Challenge Cup Final and to Bishop Eton who beat Judges 44-43 to take the Plate.

In a very closely contested final Karl Whelan became Mimir champion for the fifth time after defeating Pat Gibson in a tie-break.  John Wilson and Mark Kerr were the other finalists in a match where the players finished within three points of each other.  Very well done to all concerned.  Full results here.

merseyside individual challenge

This took place on Monday 10 May and 17 May.  Many congratulations to Pat Gibson who won a closely contested Final.  Thanks to everyone who took part and assisted in the running of the competition. Results here.

MERSEYSIDE ONLINE CHALLENGE

Many congratulations to Unison who remained unbeaten in their 6 matches to win the Merseyside Online Challenge.  This replaced the playing of the Merseyside Challenge Cup this season.  Full details here.  Thanks to all the teams who took part, to Bill Thomas and Cliff Houghton for their organisation and to Dave Tilley and Derek Moody for setting and verifying the questions.

Let's hope that by the Autumn we might be able to return to the regular competition!

MQLOnline Season 3

We have sufficient interest to run a short season from late May to the end of July.  If you wish to take part then these are the important dates;

•    By Friday 30 April.  Please send an email to Paul Davitt to confirm your Registration.

•    By Friday 14 May.  Please send a set of questions to Cliff Houghton.

•    Monday 24 May.  Season 3 begins (no fixtures on 31 May).
