Nine teams have entered and the competition will consist of round-robin group matches in three groups of three. These will be followed by semi-finals and finals in both Cup and Plate.
• In the group matches teams will score four points for a win, two points for a draw and one point for a loss by four points or fewer.
• The winner of each group will be the team with the highest number of points. If there is a tie on points then the winner will be the team with the best cumulative score difference, after that the winner of the match between the tied teams and then after that the winner of a coin toss.
• The top runner up will be the team with the highest number of points who did not win a group. If there is a tie on points then the top runner up will be the team with the best cumulative score difference, after that the winner of a coin toss.
• The remaining teams will be ranked fifth to ninth on their points scores. If there is a tie for eighth place then the place will be given to the team with the best cumulative score difference and then after that the winner of a coin toss.
The MCC semi-finals will be played online on Wed 10 March by the winners of each of the three groups and the top runner up across each of the three groups. This will be a free draw, but with the provision that there will not be a repeat fixture.
The Plate semi-finals will be played online on Wed 10 March by the teams finishing fifth to eighth. This will be a free draw, but with the provision that there will not be a repeat fixture.
The MCC and Plate Finals will be played at the MQL Finals and Presentation Evening on Wed 19 May.

Question Distribution
The team named first in the fixture are regarded as the home team and should provide a question person. Questions will be emailed to that team, together with the home password. The away password will be sent to the opposing team.
Playing the Match
A Zoom meeting link will be sent to all teams. On joining the meeting, you will be invited to move to a Breakout Room to play your match. If you do not wish to use the MQL Zoom then please let the competition secretary know beforehand. Once the match is completed, please send an image of the scoresheet to your opponents and to the competition secretary.
