Merseyside Quiz Leagues

As announced, the 2019 AGM of the MQL will take place on Sunday 14 April at Old Swan Conservative Club, 73 Derby Lane, Liverpool L13 6QE starting at 8pm.  Agenda and Minutes can be found on the MQL Administration page on the 'About MQL' tab

The heats for this year's Feeny and Rendon Competitions took place on Wed 10 April at various venues across Merseyside.  Please click on the links or see the Competitions page for details.  Well done to all involved.

The Merseyside Mimir Heats were held on 20 March at the Unison Social Club in St Helens.  Congratulations to Jim Eccleson, Pat Gibson, Karl Whelan and John Wilson who reached the final.   This will be played as part of this season's Finals and Presentation Evening at the Hoylake Social Club, 11 Trinity Road, Hoylake CH47 2BR on Wednesday 15 May starting at 8pm.

The venue for the 2019 MQL Finals and Presentation Evening has now been confirmed and will take place at the Hoylake Social Club, 11 Trinity Road, Hoylake CH47 2BR on Wednesday 15 May starting at 8pm.  As usual the event will comprise the finals of the Merseyside Challenge Cup, the Merseyside Challenge Plate and the Mimir Individual Competition in addition to the presentation of trophies.  All members of the MQL are welcome.

It is very much hoped to repeat the Buzzer Tournament that was held in Liverpool last September.  A preliminary planning meeting to discuss the format of the day and the sourcing of questions is scheduled for Wednesday 20 March 2019 at the Unison Social Club, Bishop Rd, St Helens, WA10 6SX starting at 7pm immediately prior to the Mimir Competition.  If you would like to attend please contact your Local League Secretary.
