Group Stages - 20 teams are taking part this season. In each group, each team plays each other once. In order to separate possible ties on points at the end of the group matches, points will be allocated as follows;
4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for losing a match by a score of 4 or less
A team who fail to fulfill their fixtures will be unable to proceed to the QF. The non-offending team will receive 4 points and the average of the winning match scores on the night.
Qualifiers for the Quarter Finals of the MCC will be the 5 winners of each group and the best 3 runners-up.
Qualifiers for the Quarter Finals of the Plate will be the next best 8 teams from all groups.
Please note the following resolution agreed at the March 2019 MQL Council Meeting

firstly by table points (e.g. 4 for a win, 2 for a draw, etc.)
then by match points difference of the matches between the tied teams
then by overall match points difference
then by coin toss/drawing lots
