Merseyside Quiz Leagues

Thank you to all who attended the 2017-18 Presentation Evening at the Unison Club in St Helens.  The evening saw the finals of the Merseyside Challenge Plate, the Mimir Trophy and the Merseyside Challenge Cup and the presentation of awards.

Congratulations to Wings (Southport & Formby) winners of the Merseyside Challenge Plate, to Karl Whelan (Hoylake LTC, Wirral) Mimir Champion and to  Colly Wobblers (Ormskirk) as winners of the Merseyside Challenge Cup.

Other awards were made to Warrington (President's Shield and Presidential Challenge), Liverpool Div1 (President's Trophy), Unison (Feeny Cup), Bookworms (Rendon Cup), Exiles (Plate Runners-Up) and Unison (MCC Runners-Up)

In the final of the MQL Plate competition Wings of Southport and Formby beat Exiles of Liverpool.  You can watch the match by clicking below:

Details of the 2018 Feeny Cup (for the top teams in each League's top division) and the Rendon Cup (for the top teams in each League's other divisions) are now posted under Competitions or by clicking on the link.  First round matches were played at various venues on Wed 11 April.

Congratulations to Jim Eccleson (Wirral), John Hall (Warrington), Mark Kerr (Liverpool) and current holder, Karl Whelan (Wirral) on reaching the Final of this year's Mimir Individual Competition.  Many thanks to the Warrington Quiz League for hosting the event.
