Merseyside Quiz Leagues

As agreed at an MQL Council Meeting, the 2018 MQL AGM will take place at 8pm on Sunday 15 April and not 22 April as announced at the start of the season.  The venue, Old Swan Conservative Club, Derby Lane, Liverpool L13 6QE, is unchanged.

Congratulations to MQL members John Wilson and Pat Gibson for their wins in this enjoyable event which welcomed competitors from as far afield as Scotland and London.  Thanks and well done to organisers Mark Kerr and Chris Quinn.

The next MQL Council meeting will take place at Old Swan Conservative Club, Derby Lane, Liverpool L13 6QE at 8pm on Sunday 10 December 2017.

The new season will start for many teams on Monday 4th September 2017.  Fixtures will soon be available from your League Secretary via the Handbook and /or the League Website. There is a message to all teams via the About MQL/MQL Council tab.

Thank you to all who attended the 2016-17 Presentation Evening at St Joseph's Catholic Club in Penketh.  The evening saw the finals of the Merseyside Challenge Plate, the Mimir Trophy and the Merseyside Challenge Cup and the presentation of awards.

Congratulations to Woodlands (Warrington) winners of the Merseyside Challenge Plate, to Karl Whelan (Hoylake LTC, Wirral) Mimir Champion and to  Colly Wobblers (Ormskirk) as winners of the Merseyside Challenge Cup.

Other awards were made to Liverpool 2B (President's Shield), Wirral 2 (Presidential Challenge), S&F1 (President's Trophy), Colly Wobblers (Feeny Cup), Plasterers Arms (Rendon Cup), Yarboroughs (Plate Runners-Up) and Rainhill Victoria (MCC Runners-Up)
