The MQL Presentation Evening was held on 20 May at The Stanley Arms in Ormskirk. The evening saw the Final of the Feeny Cup in which Newburgh Arms overcame Turks Head Sinners in an all-Ormskirk encounter. Ormskirk success continued in the final of the Mimir individual competition where Pat Gibson won a record ninth title in spite of strong opposition from Jim Eccleson (Wirral), Angela Doyle (Liverpool) and Alan Gibbs (Warrington). Awards were also given to the winners of the President's Shield and President's Trophy, the Rendon Cup and the Merseyside Challenge Cup. At the end of the evening a presentation was made to Deputy Chair and Assistant General Secretary, Cliff Houghton to recognise over 40 years of continuing service as an officer of the MQL. Many thanks to Ormskirk QL and to our wonderful hosts at The Stanley Arms. Presentations were made by MQL Chair Frances Mason and MQL President Dag Griffiths
