Congratulations to John Hall (Warrington) & Kris Jones (Wirral) who won the Jubilee Pairs Competition held at the Hoylake Social Club on Wednesday 11 September 2019. Seventeen pairs took part in the evening in which Pam Baker (Wirral) & Mark Kerr (Liverpool) and Tom Farley (Southport & Formby) & Margaret Howe (Wirral) finished as Runners-Up and also saw Jim Eccleson & Caterina Gianota (Wirral) win the Plate. On Wed 11th September we will be holding a MQL Pairs Quiz Competition as part of the celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of the Leagues. This will be held at the Hoylake Social Club, Wirral starting at 8pm. and is open to all members of the MQL.

On Saturday 15 June, a team representing the MQL took part in the Don Bissett Competition at the annual Quiz League of London Open Quiz Festival. After close wins over Teeside and Yorkshire, Merseyside defeated Scotland in the Final to win the Don Bissett Trophy for the second successive year. The team of Dag Griffiths, Jim Eccleson, Angela Doyle and Pat Gibson are pictured receiving the Trophy from QLL Chairman David Lea.
